Sammi Garett is best known as the pink-donned powerhouse from Brooklyn, NY’s Power-Funk band Turkuaz (2012–2021). Her dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals were a major part of the band’s live shows and recordings. She contributed to many of Turkuaz’s albums—Digitonium, Life In The City, and Kuadrochrome, just to name a few. The group toured extensively across the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia, playing iconic festivals like Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, Lockn’, Jam Cruise, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass, as well as legendary venues including Red Rocks, Terminal 5, The Fillmore, and The Capitol Theatre.
Sammi is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where she majored in Vocal Performance. She graduated cum laude, a distinction that highlights her strong academic achievements and commitment to excellence.
After Berklee, Sammi continued to pursue her passion for music, establishing herself as a versatile and sought-after collaborator across a range of musical projects. She also studied improv comedy at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City, a renowned theater and training ground for some of the top comedians and actors in the industry.
Currently, Sammi is on tour with her band Cool Cool Cool—a septet that formed in 2022 after more than a decade of performing together in Turkuaz. Blending the best of Pop, Funk, House, Disco, and R&B, Cool Cool Cool brings a truly unique sound to the stage. With dynamic, female-led vocals, a tight and precise horn section, animated synths, and a rhythm section that lays down wicked grooves, the band delivers electrifying and unforgettable performances, fueled by their strong connection and collaborative spirit.
Sammi & Cool Cool Cool tour across the U.S., Australia, Europe, and the UK, both as a headlining act and as the supporting band for Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads) and Adrian Belew (David Bowie, King Crimson) on their acclaimed Remain In Light tour.
